Ok, not really. If you know me (and am I trying to be anonymous here?), you know I run Windows 7 on everything and it usually works very well. But some days . . .
My Documents, My Documents
Usually W7 will make you a Documents folder then a symbolic link for a My Documents pointing to that for those bad apps whose authors didn't get the memo about %PROGRAMDATA% or %LOCALAPPDATA% or %APPDATA%. But for some reason, I'm missing the link and have both a My Documents and Documents, and Explorer always displays the Documents directory as My Documents, so two show up, and they have different stuff. I can beat the 50/50 odds and pick the wrong one 80% of the time.
Anyway, to get rid of the real My Documents, delete the folders in there you don't need or are empty or are complete duplicates, and copy/merge the others to Documents, then create the like with MKLINK /D "My Documents" Documents. Then edit the desktop.ini in the Documents folder and remove the line with LocalizedResourceName. I also had two My Music, two My Pictures, and two My Videos as well, but got rid of them two, too.
Well, it worked for me. I don't know what your problem is.
