This is the most recent map of the trails behind my house that I help maintain. Many thanks to neighbors Todd (RIP) and Gerry who share their property with us to enjoy waking on these paths.

Yeah, the path colors are sort of random. To fix some day.
Accuracy:
Nope. I can walk the same path 3 times and get 3 different tracks recorded. GPS on a phone is just not that accurate. Often I did record 3 tracks and edited them into one that looked most representative.
I started making this map around 2010 or 2011 using a variety of different phones, computers and software. Currently I use Back Country Navigator on an Android phone to record a path, then I add it to the map and edit it in Google Earth. Lot boundaries came from a Google map (I don't remember how!)
Moss maintenance: it seems that if the leaves are blown off in the fall and weeds are wacked in the spring, the moss takes care of itself. We do a lot of picking up of dead branches too.
Maybe blaze new trail on the north end of Letendre's lot to parallel the power line which is hard to keep clear and is hot in the summer
Rename/redraw trails that are currently loops.
Fall 2020 -- clear both paths that intersect perpendicularly with the power line.

Extend new trail up the "valley" from Letendre's northwest line to the big maple in the middle of the Nature Preserve to add several smaller loops.
Lot's of nice vegetation in spots.
