Oh baby! Received 7/23/2012 -- best smartphone yet!
OS: Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Jelly Bean'ed (4.1.1) December 2012.
(2018: Have had an S7 for a couple years; spouse has previous phone S5. Not sure where this S3 went to.)
Problems
WiFi connectivity is not smooth; often have to turn WiFi off then on to get a connection. Jelly Bean on an Asus Transformer improved that problem,so I'm looking forward to 4.1 for the S3 . . . yes, now a bit better.
Samsung Dive (remote control) not supported.
Very few problems and tons of fun to try some of the numerous apps and features.
Tips
After installing Chrome (yes, different than the default Android browser) I deleted the Internet shortcut from the bottom toolbar -- the part that is on all home screens. Then could not figure out how to add Chrome in its place. Holding the empty spot did not enable adding an icon. Solution: add it to any other screen, then drag it down to the toolbar.
